Here are a few links to some amazingly innovative and creative projects that are happening in the Jewish community.  I also want to let you know about other musicians and educators making great contributions to the world of Jewish music.  Check them out!!

G-d Cast
What is this?! G-dcast is a place to watch cartoons based on the story Jews are reading in the Torah this week.  Low commitment learning! Check out a different narrator for 4 minutes each week - some tell stories, some sing country songs.(And then there's the hip hoppers, too.) Whether you already know this story, or this is totally new stuff, you'll meet 54 new voices this year. New episodes drop Mondays.  Elana had the opportunity to contribute to the G-d Cast project but you'll have to wait until Leviticus to see her parsha.

Hip-Hop Shabbat

The HipHopShabbat Crew is the only Jewish hip-hop group that combines traditional Jewish song, prayer and liturgy with contemporary hip-hop beats and rhythms. Group members Yo-Natan and Lion of Judah lead Jewish hip-hop prayer services and workshops at synagogues, day schools, summer camps, Hillels, and Jewish Community Centers across the country. Families, college students, teens, grandparents and children have all discovered a renewed enthusiasm for Shabbat prayer through the "HipHopShabbat" experience.  Elana joined the Hip-Hop Shabbat crew on their first album.  Definitely check this out.
